Landings
"These paintings are from my studio in Glasgow of the view of the motorway and adjacent park. I am interested in exploring new ideas of the painted surface and the illusion of space. These paintings are about the feeling of the coexistence of the everyday and the alien. The facade of the city and of the paint."

Bird's I View
"In this series of paintings I made studies of the abandoned docks from the top of the Glasgow Tower. It was a search for resonance and feeling in a bleak and minimal environment. A part of a journey towards understanding the transforming nature of light and colour on a subdued and subtle level."

A Space Between two Buildings
"I used a fixed view point to study the sense of apparition created when the sun appeared between two monumental industrial buildings, before and during their demolition."
